We strive to provide a safe, comfortable, encouraging environment to help you achieve your fitness goals. All while having fun and enjoying the process along the way. We believe fitness is for everyone no matter your abilities, financial situation or fitness level. We meet you where you are and walk this journey.

Amanda

Owner of Functional Fitness

Certified Personal Trainer

I'm a mother to five kids, ages 14 - 1 year old. I fell in love with fitness because I enjoyed how I felt after a workout. I started with running then got into strength training. I love it all! People would ask me "What are you training for? My response always is, "I'm training for the 83 year old me!" I really want to keep going even at 83 years so I'm training my body for that now. I've been a fitness instructor since 2013 and a personal trainer since 2018. I love fitness but most of all I love watching people do things they never thought they could! I have a passion for helping people and enjoy watching them succeed!

I opened up Functional Fitness with the idea of helping people. I wanted to be different than a gym, more personal. I want to offer our community something that was about all around health, not just weights. It's really important to me that we take in consideration of mental health, food health, as well as, strength. Overall health is not about a number on a scale, so many people put their worth on that stupid number. I want to show a different way by highlighting all of the aspects of healthy not just "being skinny". People matter and I want all people to know they have a place here at Functional Fitness. We are not a facility, we are family!

A: "Chasing kids or chasing chickens!"

A: "Everything potato! With a sides of chicken wings"

  • NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Certified Personal Trainer

  • Special Strong Level 2 Certified Personal Trainer (Specialize in training people of ALL abilities)

  • American Heart Association CPR/AED Certified

Lindsey

Certified Personal Trainer

Bachelor of Science : Exercise Science

Lindsey became involved in fitness during high school when she began to make a change in her own life by working out and playing sports. She realized then how good it felt to live a healthier lifestyle. Lindsey fell in love with exercise science when she went to college and knew this was what she wanted to do in life. Lindsey specializes in teaching women how to strength train, but enjoys working with people of all ages and fitness levels. Lindsey's biggest goal with her clients is to show how to make exercise a part of their lifestyle and to enjoy it along the way.

A: "Thinking about getting swoll!"

A: "Pizza and pasta or anything with cheese"

A: "I love spending as much free time as I can at the lake. I love to water ski as much as possible during the warm months. I snuggle my best friends baby for afternoon naps"

I'm Emily! I have 3 kids &  6 grandkids. I'm from San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico.

I’m Lauren! I’ve been with my husband for almost 25 years and together we have an almost 18 year old daughter and a 6 year old boy. I have been dancing since the age of 8 and WERQ was the perfect outlet for me to get back into it after family life started.

Q: What are you doing when you are not getting "swoll"?

A: "I own and operate a cleaning business and try to spend as much time with my family as possible especially since our daughter is headed off to college in the fall. Our 6 year old son keeps us busy with all the sports!"

A: "Dips! I love dips!"

I'm Sarah! I love being outside and spontaneous adventures with my family. I'm married to my high-school sweet heart. Together we have two young boys and a beagle puppy.

Q: What are you doing when you are not getting "swoll"?

A: "I own my own photography/graphic design business. Our family is connected by motocross (dirt bike racing). My husband and both sons ride, it is how we spend all our free time!"

A: "Chips and salsa, with a margarita... or two on the side!"

I'm Terri! I've always loved fitness. My husband, two sons and dog, get "roped" into doing it all with me!

A: "I love outdoor cycling - I'm usually checking out rails to trails in Wisconsin and beyond! I also enjoy cooking, knitting and being outside."

A: "I'm a cookie lover! Freshly baked about any kind is GREAT with me!"
